Mr. Walter "Dock" Harvey Sr., 68, of Decatur, died December 21 at Bridgeport Hospital. Services were 10 a.m. Saturday, January 2, at Coker Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Mike Weichmann officiating. The burial took place at the Starr Cemetery in Canton, TX. Pallbearers were Essie Jr. Stiles, Billy Gene Stiles, Earl Green, Paul Wayne Cole, David Ray Cole, and Randy Crunk. Mr. Harvey was married to Verda Lee Williams, on April 16, 1945, in Mineola, Tx. Survivors include wife Verda Lee Williams, Decatur; son Walter Charles Harvey Jr., Conway, TX; daughters Brenda Sue Young, of Pasadena, Glenda Gaye Harvey of Decatur, and LeLinda Maxwell of Greenwood; brothers John Henry Harvey of Bridgeport; sisters Mary Dell Holland of Bridgeport, Elsie West of Bridgeport, and Atell Cole of Bridgeport; and one half-sister, Jewel Woods of Alba, TX; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
