Elsie West 1918-2004 Service for Elsie West, 87, of Bridgeport was Friday, April 2, at Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Bridgeport. Bill Hobbs officiated. Burial followed at Thomas Cemetery. West died Tuesday, March 30, 2004, in Bridgeport. She was born Aug. 1, 1916, in Alba. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, James West. She is survived by four sons, E.J. Skiles and wife, Millie, of Weatherford, Billy Skiles and wife, Vada, of Runaway Bay, James Mack West and wife, Janee, of Jacksboro and Limmea West and wife, Diane, of Bridgeport; three daughters, Pat Jordan and husband, Tommy, of New Castle, Allie Parr and husband, Allen, of Bridgeport and Pansy Green and husband, Earl, of Bridgeport; 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and brother, Billie Harvey of Alba. Pallbearers were J.P. Carpenter, Sonny Whitsitt, David Shawn, Wayne Taylor, Bill Rosenburg and Buddy Blalock. Published Sunday, April 4, 2004
