Bio
Bennie Fojtik joined Our Lord on May 28, 2012. He was born August 15, 1918 in Granger, Texas, to John and Millie Fojtik. Bennie was very proud to serve his country during WWII. Upon returning home after the war, he married Evelyn Naizer. Bennie then began a long and successful career with the Austin Baking Company (Butter Krust). Upon retirement he enjoyed fishing, hunting and being with family and friends. Bennie was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Evelyn; parents, John & Millie Fojtik; sisters, Martha, Lillian, Evelyn, Georgia, Dorothy, and Betty Jo and brothers, Julius, Albert, and Johnny. Bennie is survived by his daughter, Paulette Hendrix; son, Steven Fojtik and wife Leslie; grandchildren Erika Blankenship and husband Robert; Matthew Fojtik and wife Katie, Cody Fojtik, Kyle Fojtik and wife Maddy, Alexis Fojtik and great grandchildren, Haley and Justin Blankenship. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 1, 2012 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Austin. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
