Burial: 28 December 1992 The Daily Herald, Provo, Utah, 24 Dec 1992 Neil K. Whimpey, age 39, died Dec. 22, 1992 in Provo, Utah. He was born July 3, 1953 in Lehi, Utah to Kenneth D. and Lexie Fern Ault Whimpey. He married Marilyn (Mert) McKusker in Sept. 1975. They were later divorced. He graduated from Lehi High School in 1971 where he was active in student government and in Drama. He also attended Dixie College. He was employee by the State of Utah for 10 years, was a Lieutenant at Utah State Prison. A member of the LDS Church, he served a mission in Illinois. Active in civic activities until the time of his illness in 1988. He is survived by three daughters: Christy May, Lexy Beth, and Molly Jo Whimpey, all of Murray; his mother, Mrs. Ira Zane (Fern) Gray, Alpine; one brother and two sisters: Donald K. and wife, Rebbie Whimpey, West Jordan; Mrs. Keith (Jeana) Christofferson, Lehi; Mrs. Ken (Jaynee) Penrod, Highland; grandmother, Vera C. Whimpey, Lehi; and many aunts, uncles, neices, and nephews that loved him. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth D. Whimpey and grandfather, Don L. Whimpey. Funeral, Monday, December 28, 1992 at 11 a.m. in the Lehi Utah North LDS Stake Center, 900 N. 1200 East. Friends may call at the Wing Mortuary, Lehi, Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the church, Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery.
