Owasso - Helen J. Leimer, 92, homemaker, died Thursday. Visitation 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Mowery Funeral Service, and services pending. (Tulsa World) ---------------------------------- Helen Josephine Leimer, resident of Owasso, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the age of 92. Helen was born July 4, 1919 in Fisher, Arkansas to Ira Carl and Elsie (Smith) Stafford, Sr. She was raised and received her education in the Fisher area. In 1935, she was united in marriage to L.A. Wilson. To this union two children were born. They made their home in Pine Bluff, Arkansas until moving to Shreveport, LA. They later moved to Sulphur, Oklahoma and it was during this time that Mr. Wilson passed away in 1973. Helen first moved to Dumas, Texas and later to Yukon, Oklahoma to be near family. Owasso has been home for the past 3 ½ years. Member of Fellowship Lutheran Church. While living in Yukon, she was an active member of the Resurrection Lutheran Church. She loved baking and sewing, always making baby blankets and hankies for special occasions. Those that survive and hold many cherished memories are her daughter; son-in-law; six grandchildren. Also surviving are fourteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren and other family members. Besides her husband, Helen was preceded in death by her parents, one son Carl Douglas Wilson, one sister and three brothers. Visitation will be Sunday, May 27, 2012 from 2pm till 6pm at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, May 29, 2012 in the sanctuary of the Fellowship Lutheran Church, 6727 South Sheridan Ave in Tulsa. Private family burial will be at 2pm Tuesday in the Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery, Owasso.
