Funeral services for Larry Douglas Robinson Sr., 75, of Longview, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at Welch Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Tim Watson and Chaplain David Reeder officiating. Mr. Robinson passed away Saturday, January 16, 2010, at a local nursing home. Mr. Robinson was born September 25, 1934, in Hickory Ridge, Arkansas, to Elvis P. and Elsie Smith Robinson. He graduated from Hickory Ridge High School and was football captain for three years. Mr. Robinson married Donna Shaw on June 12, 1954, and they moved to Longview in 1958. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and retired as a ladle man for LeTourneau after 35 years.
