Adolph Henry Tydlacka, 90, has gone home to be with the Lord and his loving wife, Aurora, on July 6, 2012. Adolph was born Feb. 9, 1922, in Fayetteville, TX, the son of Henry and Carrie Tydlacka. Adolph is survived by his son, David McCarty and wife Vickie of Dayton; daughter, Janet Balthrop and her husband Steve of Boerne, TX; grandchildren, Crystal Smith and husband Aaron of Highlands, Laura and her husband James Fields, Rachel and Nathan Balthrop; great grandchildren, Trevor, Ty and Brice Smith; brother, Edgar Wotipka and wife Evelyn; sister-in-law, Kathryn Wotipka of Highlands, Lillian Sjolander of Georgetown, TX and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Aurora Tydlacka; parents, Henry Tydlacka and Carrie Wotipka; brothers, Edwin Wotipka and wife Nina Wotipka, Ben Tydlacka and wife Margaret, Leo Wotipka and wife Mary, Joe Liska and wife Edna, Bennie Wotipka; sister, Ludmila Buchanan and Lillie Fullerton. Adolph was a long-time resident of Highlands and a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. He retired from Exxon after 39 years, where he was known best as "Cadillac" to his friends. He enjoyed raising a garden, fishing and hunting. He has left behind a legacy of loyalty and devotion to his family and friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Earthman Funeral Home, with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 800 South Main in Highlands, with Father Maynard Parangan officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Trevor Smith, Ty Smith, Johnny Wotipka, Greg Wotipka, Danny Blackford and Michael Tydlacka.
