In Memoriam LLOYD BARRON March 9, 1924 ~ November 22, 1996 Son of James Frederick Barron & Cordelia Phillips ─══════ ✿ڰۣڿ✿ Obituary ✿ڰۣڿ✿ ══════─ Lloyd Barron, 72, of Wright City, passed away on Friday, November 22, 1996 in Dallas, Texas. He was born on March 9, 1924 in Muse, Oklahoma. Lloyd was a retired steel worker, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the VFW of Hugo, and was of the Baptist faith. He loved his family and his pets. He had lived in the community for the past six years, moving from Hugo. Survivors include his wife, Lizzie Lope Barron, of the home; one son, Gary Don Barron of Las Vegas, Nevada; four daughters, Glenda Spurlock of Lavon, Texas, Mary Bean of New Boston, Texas, Evelyn Green of Wright City, Okla., and JoAnn Maness of Valliant, Okla.; one step-son, Joe Lope of Wright City; Two sisters, Christine Curry of Mena, Ark., and Juanita Whiteley of Wagoner, Okla.; four grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Wright City. Burial followed in Watson Cemetery at Oak Hill under the direction of Brumley-McCurtain Funeral Home of Broken Bow. McCurtain Gazette November of 1996
