Funeral services for Juanita G. (Barron) Whiteley, 84 of Wagoner were at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2000 at the Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner with the Reverend Wayne Naugher and the Reverend Glen Rowan officiating. Mrs. Whiteley was born November 21, 1915 in Mena Arkansas to James and Bessie (Hogan) Barron. She was united in marriage to Frank Whiteley on January 25, 1932. The Whiteleys moved to Wagoner in 1955, where they owned and operated the Whiteley Grocery for 45 years, until their retirement in 1981. Mrs. Whiteley was also a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Wagoner. She passed away Thursday, January 13, 2000 at the Broken Arrow Medical Center. Mrs. Whiteley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Cindy Milam and by two brothers, Millburn Barron and Benny Barron. She is survived by her son; Keith Whiteley; her daughter, Dee Dee Richmond of Wagoner; a sister Christine Curry of Mena, Arkansas; four grandchildren; Kevin, Kristie and Keith Richmond and Liane Milam. Pallbearers were Larry Hail, Jimmy Hail, Dan Easterling, John Russell, Jim Self, and Charley Robertson. Honorary bearers were Bob Stuart, Earl Youree, John Wright, Jr., Sherd Parker and Tabor Meyers. Funeral arrangements and interment in Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner were under the direction of Mallett Funeral Home of Wagoner. Obituary provided by Charlotte Stevens Schneider
