Thursday, Feb. 2, 1967 --- Mrs. Emma Etta Freeman Mrs. Emma Etta Freeman, 90, of Rt. 1, Crockett, died Wednesday, Jan 25th in a local hospital. Mrs. Freeman was born in Houston County Sept. 30, 1876. She was a member of the Congregational Methodist Church. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday from Callaway Memorial Chapel, with Rev. A. S. Higginbotham and Roy Marshall officiating. Burial was in Center Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Roy Beard, Richard Freeman, Charles Freeman, Billy Freeman, Wayne Dunegan, Loyce Woodward, Bobby Freeman and Boyd Freeman. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Cuebelle Dunegan of Shawnee, Okla., and Mr. Roby Lowe and Mrs. Andrey Paul, both of Crockett; three sons, Leonard Freeman of Lovelady and Ray and Stanley Freeman both of Crockett; a brother, Willson Bitner of Crockett; 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren; 25 great great grandchildren.
