Thursday, September 18, 1969 --- Raymond Chesley Freeman Mr. Raymond Chesley Freeman, 60, of Rt. 1, Crockett, died Friday. Mr. Freeman, a retired farmer, was born July 30, 1909, in Houston County. He was a veteran of World War II. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Callaway Memorial Chapel, with Rev. R. J. Marshall officiating. Burial was in the Center Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Chesley Scott, Cecil Crowson, Dock Beavers, Joe Lane, Paxton Lively and Jim O'Connell. Survivors include two brothers, Stanley Freeman of Crockett and L. C. Freeman of Lovelady; three sisters, Mrs. Ruby Lowe and Mrs. Audrey Paul, both of Crockett and Mrs. Cuebelle Dunegan of Shawnee, Okla.; also a number of nieces and nephews.
