Services for Elizabeth Ann (Bette) Hiller of Bellwood were conducted Tuesday morning. Feb. 2. Mrs. HilIer, 66, died Saturday, Feb. 2. at the Butler County Health Care Center. The Mass of Christian Burial was concelebrated by Fathers Mark Seiker and Jim Meysenburg, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Bellwood. Pallbearers were Torn Hiller, Pam Glaser, Keith Schmit. Ken Scholz, Melvin Janicek and Brenda Kouba. Burial was in St. Peter's Cemetery, Bellwood. Bette Hiller, the daughter of Edward M. and Anna C. (Schmit) Michael, was born March 30. 1924. at David City. She at-tended David City High School On April 9,1947, she was united in marriage to Anthony V. Hiller at St. Mary's Catholic Church, David City. Nine children were born to this union. She made her home on a farm near Bellwood. A homemaker, she was a member of SL Peter's Catholic Church, a member of the Altar Society. the American Legion Auxiliary and the Catholic Daughters of The Americas. She is survived by her husband. Anthony V. (Tony) Hiller of Bellwood; two sons. Michael Hiller of Kansas City. MO, and Peter (Chuck) Hiller of Lincoln, seven daughters. Connie Hiller of Kansas City. MO, Kate Shoemaker of Yankton. SD, Jeanne Blaalid of Mitchell, S.D.. Beth Svoboda of St. Paul, Peg Kranzler of Pierre. S.D., Lori Meusch of Stuart and Janet Hiller of Lawrence, Kans.; five brothers. Harold J. Michael of San Lorenzo. CA, Bob Michael of David City, Leon (Bud) of Traverse City. Mich.. Dick of Bella Vista, Ark. and Ed Michael of San Francisco. Calif.; two sisters. Eileen Michael of San Francisco. Calif. and Mary Kester of Petaluma, Calif.; and 13 grandchildren. Her parents, a granddaughter, Barbara Ann Blaalid, and a sister, Barbara Jean Gonzales, preceded her in death.
