Michael A. Hiller, 62, of Leavenworth, Kan., died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011, at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, at 10 a.m. in St. Peter Catholic Church, in Bellwood, with Father Jay Buhman officiating. Burial will be in Sts. Peter & Mary Cemetery in Bellwood. Visitation will be Sunday, 2–5 .pm. at Chermok Funeral Home, in David City, and after 6 p.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, in Bellwood, followed by a 7 p.m. rosary. Additional viewing one hour before services at the church on Monday. Memorials sugged in care of the family. Michael was born on July 24, 1949, to Anthony and Elizabeth (Michael) Hiller in David City. He graduated from Aquinas High School in 1968. Following graduation he entered the U.S. Navy where he served his country for 21 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking woodworking and his family. Michael is survived by his special friend, Cathy Hebden, of Belleville, Ill.; brother, Chuck (Diane) Hiller, of Lincoln; sisters, Connie (Phil) Koerin, of Leavenworth, Kan., Kate (Bill) Shoemaker, of Yankton, S.D., Jeanne (Ken) Blaalid, of Mitchell, S.D., Ben (Ken) Svoboda, of St. Paul, Peg Hiller and special friend, John Hollmann, of Mitchell, S.D., Lori (Ron) Meusch, of Bellwood, Janet (Ben) Delgado, of Eudora, Kan.; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and niece. .................................... Mike was a 198 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School, David City, Nebraska.
