Bio

Marilyn Maughan's parents were Hyrum C. Maughan (1902-1992) and Frances Elizebeth Wilson (1908-1998). Marilyn married Samuel L. Gates on December 8, 1946. They had 6 children. After she and Sam divorced, she married Richard Stegner August 11, 1967. After her parents divorced, her father married Edith Benson in 1933. Her mother remarried twice. First to Matthew Gandall, then to Fred Witman. Marilyn's ashes were buried with her mom at Santa Barbara Cemetery.
