Bio

Memorial services for Mrs. E.H. Woodruff, 63, were held Thursday, February 27, 1975 at 2:00 p.m. in Eleventh Street Baptist Church. Rev. Bill Rushing, pastor of First Baptist Church of Samnorwood, officiated. Interment was in Shamrock Cemetery under direction of Richerson Funeral Home. Carl Vernon, Finis Kidd, Fred Ferris, Beauford Shirey, Bill Douglas and Jim Bob Lane served as pallbearers. Mrs. Woodruff died at 3:30 o'clock Tuesday morning in Shamrock General Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born August 28, 1911, in Stevens County, Texas, Miss Bertha Lou Franklin and E.H. Woodruff were married January 23, 1928 in Weatherford and moved to Shamrock in 1940. Mrs. Woodruff was employed by Marie Taylor in the restaurant business for a number of years until her retirement in 1970. She was a Baptist. Survivors include the widower of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Conners of Amarillo; four sons David, Jackie and James, all of Shamrock Glenn of Dalhart; two brothers, Bill Franklin of shamrock and T.T. Franklin of Abilene, and eleven grandchildren. Shamrock Texan March 6, 1975
