Bio

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Lou Franklin, 74, have been tentatively set for 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Meredith E. Wyatt, pastor, officiating. Richerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangement. Interment will be in Shamrock Cemetery. Mrs. Franklin, who had made her home in Shamrock for about 10 years, died about 9:30 o'clock Wednesday night in Thomas Rest Home in Wellington. She was born November 13, 1888, in Erath County, and was married September 14, 1906, in Eastland to Henry P. Franklin . Her husband passed away July 30, 1959. Mrs. Franklin came to Shamrock from Weatherford, where she and her husband lived for may years. She was a Baptist. Surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. E.H. Woodruff of Shamrock, two sons, T.T. Franklin of Anson and Bill Franklin of Shamrock; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are: four sisters, Mrs. Stith Harrison of Breckenridge, Mrs. Jim Miller of Detroit, Texas, Mrs. Minnie Kaufman of Fort Worth and Mrs. Lillie Davis of Arkansas; four brothers, C.W. Franklin of Breckenridge, Johnnie Franklin of Detroit, Texas, Oscar Franklin of Oklahoma City., and Arnun Franklin of Fort Worth.
