Bio
Rose Marie Frerichs of Columbus died Saturday, May 12, 2012 at her home. Rose Marie was born on December 20, 1936 to Herman and Annastacia (Micek) Blahak at St Mary's Hospital in Columbus, NE. She attended St. Bonaventure Grade School and graduated from St. Bonaventure High School in 1956. Rose worked many places through her life, including Billy's Cafe, Columbus Theater, Platte County Treasurer's Office, BD's, Region IV, Platte College, Behlens, and Wal-Mart, just to name a few. Rose married Harry Frerichs on November 28, 1959 in Columbus where they lived until Harry's death in 1996. To this union 4 children were born, Kent, Kristen, Carl, and Gard. Rose loved spending time with her family and friends. She had a green thumb, was a collector of sorts, she was a people person, and had a deep love for all animals. She was a member of St. Anthony's Church. Rose touched many lives through the years and will be deeply missed by all. Rose is survived by: Son: Kent (Karen) Frerichs of Columbus Grandaughters April Aragon, and Nicole Gewecke Daughter: Kristen (Mark) Robak of Columbus Grandsons: Justin, Jozef, and Ian Robak Son: Carl (Susan) Frerichs of Kearney Grand children: Jonah Alvarez, Jessica (Kasey) Potter, and Jacob Frerichs Son Gard (Julie) Frerichs of Grand Island Grandsons: Joshua and Jon Frerichs Brother: Herman (Angela) Blahak of Abilene, Tx Brother: John (Shirley) Blahak of Palatka, Fl. Sister: Teena Rawhouser of Columbus Brother: Joe (Diane) Blahak of Lincoln Brother: David (Evelyn) Blahak of Columbus 12 Great Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews Rose was preceded in death by: Parents Herman and Stacia Blahak Brother: Laverne Blahak Husband: Harry Frerichs Brother-in-law: Jim Rawhouser Many Aunts and Uncles
