Bio

Otis Eugene (Otis) Waller was born January 8, 1897, in Lee County, Alabama to parents Thomas Jefferson (Tom) Waller, Jr. and Annie Mae Waller (nee Ward). His fraternal grandparents were Thomas Jefferson Waller, Sr. and Emily Pope Waller (nee Binford). His maternal grandparents were Stephen Ward and Georgia Ward (nee Hodnett). Otis served his country as a Private in the U. S. Army during World War I. Otis married Eva Floy Whatley, daughter of Charles Curtis Whatley and Esther Cumi Lynch, on March 29, 1942. This was a second marriage for Floy. Otis and Floy had one child, a daughter, now living. Otis died August 4, 1977, and is buried in Pine Hill Cemetery, Lee County, Alabama as are his parents and several of his siblings.
