Bio
Annie Mae Ward was born August 30, 1874, in Chambers County, Alabama to parents Stephen Ward and Georgia Ward (nee Hodnett). Her paternal grandparents were Enos Wesley Ward and Mary Ward (nee Roland). Her maternal grandparents were Lovic Pierce Hodnett and Mary Jane Hodnett (nee Traylor). Annie Mary[Annie Mae] Ward joined the Methodist Episcopal Church at Fredonia, Alabama under the pastorage of Rev. T. K. Pierce in the year 1884 at 10 years of age. Annie May Ward joined Asbury Methodist Episcopal Church, Lee County, Alabama by certificate of transfer in 1887 upon moving to Loachapoka, Lee County, Alabama with her mother and other siblings. On December 25, 1894, Annie Mae Ward married Thomas (Tom) Jefferson Waller, Jr. son of Thomas Jefferson Waller, Sr. and Emily Pope Binford Waller. Tom's and Annie Mae's children were George Elmer Waller (1895-1926) Otis Eugene Waller (1897-1977) John Thomas Waller(1899-1987) Henry Lorenzo Waller (1901-1991) Myrtle Evelyn Brugh (nee Waller) (1903-1993) Lucille Fikes (nee Waller) (1911-1990). Annie Mae Waller(nee Ward) died October 8, 1946, and is buried in Pine Hill Cemetery, Auburn, Lee County, Alabama as is her husband Thomas Jefferson Waller, Jr. and some of their children.
