Mrs. Oluf Lund Dies Wednesday in California Mrs. Margaret Christensen Lund, 60, wife of Oluf Lund died of a heart ailment Wednesday morning at South Gate, California, where she had spent several months with her children. She had not been well for two or three years and she and her husband had gone to California with the hope that the lower altitude would improve her health. The body will be brought to Richfield Friday and funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p. m. in the First ward chapel. Mrs. Lund was born November 2, 1875, at Richfield, a daughter of Soren and Mary Brown Christensen, and had spent practically all her life in Richfield . Her marriage to Oluf Lund took place in Richfield in October 1893. She was not active in public work, except as a Relief society member but was a devoted wife and mother. She had a rare gift of friendliness toward her associates, being always ready to accommodate her friends by doing for them the little favors that mean so much. Surviving Mrs. Lund, besides her husband, are two sons and five daughters: Mrs. Walter Jensen of South Gate, California; Mrs. Miles Tuft of Moline, Illinois; Rollo and Emanuel Lund of South Gate, California; Mrs. Ronald Holke and Mrs. Ralph Miller of Geneva, Illinois, and Miss Ethel Lund of Richfield, who was in California with her parents. Other survivors are nine grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mary Elliott and three brothers, James, Martines and Soren Christensen all of Richfield. Published in the Richfield Reaper 1936-01-30
