Bio

Mrs. Ruby Smith, 62, died Monday morning in Kauffman, Texas, where she had resided for the past 20 years. She was a former resident of Brashear. She was born Nov. 17,1919 in Hopkins County, the daughter of John and Mary Chandler. She is survived by two sons, Bobby Gene Smith of Sulphur Springs and Billy Ray Smith of Huntsville, Texas; a daughter, Patsy Ruth Musketnuss of Kaufman; a brother, I.D. Chandler of Big Springs, Texas; two sisters, Viola Stevenson of Abilene and Minnie Chandler of Arizona, and six grandchildren. Services were held Wednesday in the Anderson-Clayton Funeral Home Chapel in Kaufman. Burial was in the Brashear Cemetery. Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
