Services for Johnnie Lee Kubecka, 75, of Caldwell are set for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at the Strickland Funeral Home Chapel in Caldwell, with Rev. Corby Brizendine officiating. Interment will follow at Phelps Prairie Dale Cemetery, under the care and direction of Strickland Funeral Home of Caldwell. A visitation is scheduled for Monday, June 7, 2010; the family will be present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. also at Strickland Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be James Marshall, Corey Kubecka, Dennis Griffin, John David Mastrovich, David Blanton, and Nate King. Johnnie was born January 22, 1935 to Jeff Newcomb and Mary Donath Newcomb in Burleson County, Texas. She married Otto Kubecka in 1953 in Caldwell, Texas. Johnnie is survived by her husband Otto Kubecka of Caldwell, sons; Otto Kubecka, Jr. of Collinsville, OK., Jeff and Christy Kubecka of Victoria, TX., Don and Linda Kubecka of Palmetto, FL., brother-in-law Curtis Lehde, niece; Jessica Hernandez, great niece; Katrina Hernandez, grandchildren; Michael Kubecka, Crystal and Nate King, Corey Kubecka, Kristen Kubecka, and great grandchild Brooklyn King. Johnnie is preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Jeffa Marie Lehde.
