Joseph John "Joe" Scasta. Immigrated to U.S. in 1880. Born in Moravia. FORT WORTH, Tex., Nov. 11.-- J. J. Scasta, prominent Bohemian farmer, was killed near Bryan yesterday afternoon when his team ran away. The wagon passed over him. San Antonio Light , November 11, 1915 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bryan, Tex., Nov. 11 -- J. J. Scasta, a prominent Bohemian farmer of this county, was in some way thrown from his wagon late yesterday afternoon and received serious internal injuries from which he died at this home at Wheelock at 11 o'clock last night. He was 52 years of age and is survived by his wife and nine children. The Galveston Dailey News , November 12, 1915
