The Hearne Democrat November 24, 1977, pg 11. Funeral services for Albert R. Scasta, 81, of Wheelock were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, from the chapel of Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan with Nick Morris, president of the SPJST in Temple officiating. Interment followed in Wheelock Cemetery. Mr. Scasta died Sunday. He was born March 21, 1896 in Wheelock where he was a lifetime resident, a retired framer, and a member of SPJST Lodge. Mr. Scasta was a member of the American Legion and a veteran of World War I. He is survived by a son of El Paso, a daughter of Sweeny and four grandchildren; three brothers, Joe L. Scasta of Wheelock, George and Charles Scasta of Bryan; and four sisters, Miss Christina Scasta, Mrs. Victoria Novosad and Mr. Lena Wilson of Bryan and Mrs. Millie Jez of Temple. [Middle name of Albert was Robert]
