Elsie Ruth Haas Fleischer (December 20, 1921 - March 9, 2012) Elsie Ruth Haas Fleischer, 90 of Georgetown passed away on Friday, March 9, 2012. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 12, 2012 at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 North IH 35, Georgetown from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. A service of Celebration and Thanksgiving will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 2:00PM at Christ Lutheran Church, 510 Luther Drive, Georgetown with Pastor Paul Kersten officiating. Interment will follow at IOOF Cemetery. Elsie was born December 20, 1921 in the Dry Berry Community near Georgetown, Texas to the late John Hermann and Ella Braune Haas. Elsie married Wilbert A. Fleischer on January 2, 1940 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Walburg. She was very active in her community volunteering for over 25 years at The Caring Place in Georgetown and The Trinity Lutheran Home in Round Rock. Elsie and Wilbert enjoyed camping and traveling, they were long time members of the Golden Eagles Camping Club. Elsie has been an active member of Christ Lutheran Church in Georgetown for many years. Elsie is preceded in death by her parents, John and Ella Haas; her husband of 59 years, Wilbert A. Fleischer in September of 1999; sisters, Helene Miller and Hertha Miller; and brother, Delvin Haas; and her son-in-law, Coburn Brummett. Elsie leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Marian Brummett of Woodbridge, VA, and Joyce Nunn and husband Charles of Pflugerville, TX; her grandchildren, Tracy Brummett and his wife Kim of Round Rock and Susan Hart and her husband Mark of Woodbridge, VA; her great grandchildren, Dane, Micah, Ayden and Kelton Hart. Elsie's family expresses their gratitude to Dr. Richard Male and staff of the Physicians Center of Georgetown, Dr. Stephen Garland and staff of The Austin Heart in Georgetown, the physicians and staff of the Critical Care Unit at Seton Medical Center Williamson and the staff at The Lighthouse Hospice at Altenheim in Round Rock. Memorial donations in Elsie's memory may be made to the Church Lutheran Church, 510 Luther Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78628 or the charity of the donor's choice.
