Helene Augusta Haas Miller (November 27, 1916 - April 30, 2010) Helene Augusta Haas Miller, 93, of Georgetown entered in to rest April 30, 2010 at a local care facility. She will be available for viewing on Monday, May 3, 2010 from 2:00-8:00 pm at the Gabriels Funeral Chapel in Georgetown. Pastor Rusty Campbell will officiate at the funeral service to be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Walburg on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Walburg. Helene was born November 27, 1916 to John and Ella (Braune) Haas in Georgetown. She grew up and attended school in the local area. She married Alfred E. Miller on November 12, 1936 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Walburg. Helene settled in being a homemaker and mother. She was active in the Ladies Aid of St. Peter's and for a time was an Avon representative, which allowed her time for visiting friends and neighbors. She also enjoyed gathering for regular quilting sessions with the ladies of Walburg. Helene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1984; a brother, Delvin Haas; and a sister, Hertha Miller. She leaves to cherish her memory daughter, Ruth Lundquist of Midlothian; sons, Charles and wife Judy of Burnet, Bernard and wife Linda of Florence, and Leonard and wife Carolyn of Georgetown; sister, Elsie Fleischer of Georgetown, six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
