Floyd Gene Kuhl went home to the Lord on April 26, 2012. Floyd was born in Taylor Texas on September 30, 1936 to Clarice and Henry Kuhl. Floyd was a loving son, husband, and father and had a place in many people's hearts. After Graduating from Taylor High School in 1955, he went to work for the Southern Corp., 7-11 as a store manager. In 1957 Floyd enlisted in the Navy submarine service where he was eventually assigned to the USS Tunny. While being in the service he was given the training to prepare him for his civilian life as an electrician. After an honorable discharge in 1963, he was employed by Texas Power and Light (TU Electric), in Dallas, Texas until his retirement in 1993. At that time, Floyd and his wife, Viola Kuhl moved back to Taylor, Texas where they reconnected with many old friends and embraced new ones. Floyd became very involved at this time with Prince of Peace Church, where he began his spiritual relationship with God. He also enjoyed continuing his friendships with his Naval Crewmates by attending yearly reunions. Floyd will be terribly missed by all that loved him and had the pleasure of knowing him. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Wayne Kuhl. The family would like to sincerely thank all of Floyd's family, neighbors, friends, brothers & sisters in Christ for the loving support over the years.
