Ruth Greta Gembala, age 91, of 65 Ellsworth Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80906-7955 went to join the Lord on June 1, 2004. Ruth was born July 15, 1912 at Fullerton, Nebraska, the daughter of George S. and Theo D. Brown. She was united in marriage to Henry Gembala of Loup City, Nebraska on January 25, 1935 at Overton, Nebraska. Survivors include: daughter: Barbara Ann Miller (Colonel, USAF (Ret.) Terry D.) of Colora-do Springs, Colorado; sister: Margaret Klein of Vancouver, Washington; daughters-in-law Carolyn Gembala of Fair Oaks, California and Jo Gembala of Sebastopol, California; six grand-children: Laura Plassmeyer (Mrs. Jim) of El Dorado Hills, Cali-fornia; David and Petric Gembala of Collierville, Tennessee; Dr. Matthew and Cami Gembala of Tucson, Arizona; Michelle (Mrs. David) Peppel of Redding, California; Trish (Mrs. Jean Pierre) Devieux of San Diego, California; Teri (Mrs. Darren) Hansell of Pensacola, Florida; ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 67 years, Henry Gembala; sons Eugene and Roger; sisters Clara and Alta; and infant brother, Russell. Interment with private viewing was at the Montecito Cemetery and Mausoleum in Colton, California alongside Henry on Monday, June 7, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements were made by All Faiths Funeral Home of Grand Island, Nebraska.
