BOOK---Tidds of Ohio by Howard H Tidd; Pg-124 Lists Dorothy Rose Tidd (7 Jan 1904); who married Ernest May (served WW1-died 1950). They lived in Williamsfield where he owned a sawmill & ran a Feed-Supply Co & had 5 children. Dorothy later wed HW Tanner of Saskatchewan. TX--Wilson County News....13 Apr 2004 DOROTHY ROSE MAY TANNER: born 7 Jan 1904 at Williamsfield OH to Harmon & Jessie Tidd (nee Colby), passed away 15 Nov 1999 at her farm home near Heward SK. Predeceased by her first husband, Ernest May in February 1950 & by her second husband, HW Tanner in 1985; 4 sisters, 4 brothers, 2 nephews & 2 nieces. Dorothy is survived by her 5 children; Audrey (Charles) Dietrich-Andover OH; Eris Sanders-Heward; Gail (Albert) Michel-Regina; Nancy (Donald) Valesky-Leesburg FL & WilliamH May-Seattle WA; mourning her death are 10 grandchildren: Brian (Alana Mitchell) Michel-Calgary, AB; Carol (Gerry) Ikegwuonu-Toronto, ON; Bruce (Terri) Sanders-Florida; Roberta (Bob) Huber-California; Marie Miller, James (Annette) Eastlake, Richard (Gwen) Thompson, Gary (Erma) Thompson, Ernest (Sherry) Thompson & Arden Whitt-all of Ohio; 19 gr grandchildren; 5 gr gr grandchildren; 7 step grandchildren; 5 nephews--2 nieces. Funeral service was held Friday afternoon Nov19th from Grace United Church-Stoughton, with Rev Jann Sampson officiating. Interment followed in Heward cemetery. The pallbearers were John Allan, Warren Allan, Brian Michel, Arden Whitt, Greg Tanner & Gary Thompson. For friends so wishing, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice, in her memory. Arrangements were entrusted to Fletcher Funeral Chapels Ltd., Weyburn.
