SERVICE--WW1---Ernest May Age 19 11/12 yrs B=Harrod OH; RES=Orwell OH; Serial# 1518165; Enlisted in the National Guard in Ashtabula OH. Honorable discharge 22 Apr 1919. OH--Ashtabula Star Beacon...06 Feb 1950 ERNEST MAY: Williamsfield; 82, a Williamsfield resident for 30 years, died Sunday afternoon [2-05] at his home after being ill since the middle of October. He was born 21 Jun 1897 in Herrod & was a WW1 veteran. He has spent the last 7 yrs as manager of the Williamsfield Farm Bureau & the Farm Bureau Council & the Andover Post of American Legion. Surviving are his wife-Dorothy; children: Aud-rey Thompson-Ashtabula; Eris May-Sandusky; Gail, Nancy & William-at home; 5 bros: Walter-Cortland; Warner-McLure; Monroe-Warren; Stanley-NewCastle PA; Russell-Colebrook; sisters: MrsIda Artman & MrsBlanch Cummins-Algers; MrsIrene Gray-Cortland. Service will be Wednesday afternoon [2-08] at McCurdy Funeral Home-Kinsman with Rev Edgar Miller-Williamsfield Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Center Cemetery-Williamsfield
