Bio
On the evening of December 14, 2007, while surrounded by her family, Henrietta Kallus Pesek, was called to her heavenly home to be reunited with her husband Rudolph T. Pesek. She was preceded in death by her husband, infant daughter Diane Marie, her parents A. J. and Terezie Kallus, sisters Lillie, Agnes, Elizabeth, Johanna, Annie, Bohdanka, Filipka, brothers Jaro, V.T., George and two infant brothers. She is survived by eleven children; Dorothy Rother and husband Daniel of Hallettsville, Agnes Kuenstler and husband Marlin of Yoakum, Theresa Belicek and husband Julius of Yoakum, Henry Pesek and wife Patsy of Shiner, Dolores Pesek of Washington D.C., Leonard Pesek and wife Frances of Shiner, Rita Voelkel of Weatherford, Larry Pesek and wife Beverly of Fredericksburg, Patrick Pesek and wife Barbara of Shiner, Andrew Pesek and wife Jane of Hallettsville, and Marian Dierschke of Bryan. She is survived by thirty nine grandchildren and eighty two great grandchildren. Henrietta was a life long member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hallettsville. She was a member of the KJZT, St. Mary's Altar Society, Rosary Society, and Czech Choir. She was a faithful volunteer at the local rest homes, community and church. Henrietta was a loving homemaker. Her love of quilting was shown by the two hundred plus quilts she quilted and donated. Service: 10 am, Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Visitation: 12 noon, Monday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosaries: 7:00 pm, Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church; and 9:30 am, Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Officiate: Rev. Anthony Pesek and Rev. John Peters. Pallbearers (grandchildren): Karen Kahanek, Douglas Kuenstler, Brian Belicek, David Pesek, Niki Simoneaux, Anthony Pesek, Jaime Voelkel, Kent Pesek, Jeff Pesek, Andy Pesek, and Harvey Dierschke. Honorary Pallbearers (grandchildren): Danny Rother, Wayne Rother, Barbara Leopold, Robert Rother, Alan Rother, Lisa Hermes, Bernadine Eledge, Evon Janak, Naomi Bradicick, Donnie Belicek, Pamela Rodriguez, Claton Belicek, Darrell Pesek, Dwight Pesek, Mimi Knuer, Christi Simoneaux, Shiela Wenske, Leonard Pesek, Christopher Pesek, Kimberly Lund, Jennifer Parkison, Rudy Pesek, Steven Pesek, Aaron Pesek, Wilton Pesek, Jason Pesek, Jonathan Pesek, and Natalie Halbert. Memorials: In thanksgiving for a beautiful life, contributions may be made to Hospice of South Texas, or any Catholic School of your choice. Burial: Wied Cemetery.
