Henry Pesek of Shiner, 82, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023. He was born on October 25, 1940, in Wied to Rudolph and Henrietta Pesek. He was the fourth child and eldest boy out of twelve siblings. He married Patricia Henkhaus of Shiner in June of 1963. They have three sons and have resided in Shiner their entire marriage. They are members of SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. Henry graduated from St. Ludmila in 1959. He was a member of the National Guard for 2 years and then worked at Guettner's appliance for 30 years. He then finished his career at Kaspar Wireworks. Never able to sit still, Henry became the manager of the KC Hall once he retired. Henry loved being involved in the Catholic Church and Shiner Catholic School, working at his farm, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patsy Pesek; son, David (Ann); son, Darryl (Lynette); son, Dwight (Kim); and grandchildren, Devin and Abby Pesek, Madison and Sam Parell, Delynn Pesek, Jared Pesek, Aidan Pesek, Brooke Pesek, Cassidy Pesek, Avery Pesek, and Dallyn Pesek. Additionally, he is survived by siblings Dorothy Rother, Teresa Belicek, Agnes Kuentsler, Leonard Pesek (Frances), Larry Pesek (Beverly), Patrick Pesek (Barbara), Andrew Pesek (Jane), and Marion Dierschke. He is preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Dolores Pesek, Rita Voelkel, and Diane Pesek; and brothers-in-law, Daniel Rother, Julius Belicek, and Marlin Kuentsler. Because of paintng at the funeral home the visitation will be held Monday, October 16 at Sts. Cyril and Methodius from 5-7 pm with prayers of the holy rosary following at 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am, October 17, at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church with Rev. Bryan Heyer as the celebrant. Pallbearers: David Pesek, Darryl Pesek, Dwight Pesek, Devin Pesek, Jared Pesek, and Aidan Pesek. Honorary pallbearers are Sam Parell and Henry's loving grandchildren. Memorials may be made in honor of Henry to Shiner Catholic School, 424 St. Ludmila, PO Box 725, Shiner, TX 77984.
