Bio

Thanks to Contributor #46549069 Raymond E. Schott, 88, of Lincoln and Osceola passed away at home on Saturday April 21, 2012 surrounded by his family. Ray was born on August 3rd, 1923 in Osceola NE to Joseph and Monica Schott (Fuchs). He graduated from Osceola High School and attended the Agriculture College at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He was a WWII Navy Veteran serving in the Pacific Theater. Raymond was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church of Lincoln and St. Vincent 's Catholic Church of Osceola. He was a lifelong farmer and cattle feeder. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Monica, brother John Schott of Osceola, sister Genieve Hilliard of Dallas, TX, and grandson Captain Robert Yllescas. Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:30 a.m. the 25th day of April at St. Vincent Catholic Church in Osceola, NE with Father Michael R. Christensen officiating. Burial was in the Osceola Cemetery.
