Delmar E. Grimes Jackson - Services for Delmar E. Grimes, 53, of Pine Grove, an Amador County resident 17 years, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the J.J. Daneri & Son Funeral Chapel here. The Mississippi native was pronounced dead of an apparent heart attack on arrival at Amador Hospital Monday. He had been a truck driver at the Hawthorne Naval Base for 13 years. He is survived by his widow, Georgia; daughters, Carol Shelton of Pine Grove, Shirley James of Sutter Creek, Geraldine Davis of Sacramento and Pamela Grimes of Pine Grove; sons, Steven of Ione and Daniel of Jackson; brothers, David of Angels Camp and Fred of Sutter; and eight grandchildren. A member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, he served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
