Herald Coaster, November 14, 1965: Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Pratka, 72, were held from the Triska Chapel in Needville at 9:45 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, followed by requiem mass at the St. Michael Catholic Church at 10 a.m., with Rev. Quinn officiating. Mrs. Pratka passed away at the Polly Ryon Hospital following a heart attack. Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Annie Jablonski of Guy and Mrs. Pauline Jablonski of Needville; four brothers, Frank Kalinowski of Marble Falls, Alex Kalinowski of League City, Joe Kalinowski of Needville, and Ike Kalinowski of Hungerford; and six stepchildren, Mrs. Della Hollas of Bryan, Mrs. Bob Ahrens of Houston, Victor Pratka of Morgan City, La., Alfred Pratka of Houston, Richard Pratka of Illinois, and Lawrence Pratka of Washington. Pallbearers were E.H. Tielke, Ed Bockhorn, John Baca, Dick Bartels, Joe Stuckley, and Lad Stavinoha. Interment was made in the St. Michael Cemetery with the Triska Funeral Home in charge.
