Bio

Herald Coaster, May 11, 1970: Funeral services for Frank Barta, 74, of Needville, a retired ginner at Fairchilds Planters Gin, are scheduled for 2:15 p.m. Tuesday in the Triska Funeral Chapel in Needville and at 2:30 p.m. in St. Michael's Catholic Church in Needville, with the Rev. Kenneth Mikulik officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 tonight and a wake service is scheduled for 7:45 o'clock. Mr. Barta died in a Houston Hospital Sunday. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edith Barta; brothers, Joe Barta of Rosenberg, and Alphonse Barta and Bohumil Barta of Wallis; and two sisters, Mrs. Tony Hruby of Needville and Mrs. Annie Macha of Hungerford.
