Note: Indiana WPA birth index has his birth in Warrick County but he puts Evansville, which is in Vanderburgh County, on his WWI draft registration card. ∼ P. A. SMITH P. A. Smith of Mesquite, former resident of McKinney, died Friday. He was born in Evansville, Ind. in 1899. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Woodland Methodist Church. Survivors include three sons, Walter Smith of San Antonio, Horace F. Smith of Arlington and O. W. Smith of Bagwell; two daughters, Mrs. Edith Turner of Lancaster and Mrs. J. D. Duckworth of Mesquite; 30 grandchildren and 52 great grandchildren and one brother, Sam Smith of McKinney. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Leverett-Steele Funeral Home in Paris.
