Alphus was the son of John Samuel Abell & Barbara Catherine Janes. He married Helen Cecelia Baumgart on 11 January 1913 & they had 5 children. Alphus was a graduate of Kansas City Veterinary School in 1910 and practiced for 47 years. - - - from research of Lillie RIney
