Obituary Gonzales Inquirer June 5, 1901 Mr.William Williams, aged 66, living east of the city died Sunday and was interred yesterday in the Public Cemetery. Gonzales Inquirer June 12, 1901 The many friends of Mr. Gilchrist sympathize deeply with him in his recent bereavement. First a ten year old daughter died. Searee had tje sod fallen on her coffin,when Mr, Williams, father of Mrs. Gilchrist crossed to the unseen shore and then the shadow of death lingered in the home, deepening and darkening the gloom, until at last the boatman pale came and summoned the mother and daughter to meet the father and child. Thus in the short space of two weeks three souls stood before the Judge and three lives went out, laving a place in the home and heart that only years of patient siting can soften but never erase.
