Sims came to Forsyth in 1946 and ranched in various areas. He moved to the Hammond Valley in 1965 and drove school bus for 13 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of Hiram Lodge No. 52 AF and AM, Royal Arch Mason Chapter No. 23, Allenby Commandery No. 20 of the Knights Templer, Al Bedoo Shrine Temple of Billings, Knights of Birmingham, Rosebud County Shrine Club, Order of Eastern Star Bethlehem Chapter No. 27, Elks Lodge and VFW of Forsyth. Mr. Sims, 68, died Saturday in his home after a long illness. He was born in Logan, Ok., a son of Paschal and Ruby Henton Sims. He moved to Greenville, N.M., with his family in 1926 and attended school there, graduating from Clayton High School in 1938. In 1936, he married Kristine Clayson in Clayton, N.M. He worked on the CCC and on the family ranch. On May 11, 1941, he married Lois Dotson in Osceola, MO., and they lived in Grenville. From 1945 to 1946, he served in the Army. Lois Sims died in 1964. On Dec. 31, 1965, he married Louise M. Watson in Billings. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Janet Johnson of Anaconda, Nina Hoyer of Belt, MT., and Linda Hansen of Roy, WA.; two sons, Ronald V. Sims of Taft, CA., and James Watson of Chicago, IL., Shirley Davis of Clinton, S.C.; and John Davis of Greenwood, S.C.; a step-brother, Ray Sterling of Libby, MT., five sisters, Jeraldine Stremming of Tucson, AR., Virginia Litterll of Atascadero, CA., Ann Adams of Brighton, CO., Martha Hughes of Union, S.C.; and Susie Hallman of Gilbert, S.C.; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Federated Church in Forsyth. Burial will be in the Forsyth Cemetery, Forsyth, MT., with Masonic graveside rites. Beals Mortuary is in charge.
