Herald Coaster, May 14, 1990: Funeral services for Ruby Essie Kuban, 76, are scheduled 4 p.m. Monday, May 14, at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Needville. Burial will be at Needville Public Cemetery. Mrs. Kuban died May 12 in Richmond. She was a retired sales clerk in the dry goods business and a member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, American Legion Post 350 Ladies Auxillary, S.P.J.S.T., Presbyterian Women and Harris County Parkinson's Foundation. She was preceded in death by her husband Felix Paul Kuban. Survivors include her children, Felix F. Kuban of Halletsville and Ora Lee Preuss of Needville; brothers, John McCafferty of Dallas, Leonard McCafferty of Houston, and James McCafferty of Freeport; sisters, Alice Harris of Cypress, Dorothy Rehak of Boling, and Lois Wolfe of Brookshire; five grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at the Garmany and Carden Chapel in Needville, which is in charge of the arrangements. H.V. Ferguson III will serve as honorary pallbearer.
