Bio

Herald Coaster, October 17, 1965: Funeral services for Frank Kaluza were held from the Triska Chapel in Needville at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, followed by Requiem Mass at the St. Michael Catholic Church in Needville at 9 a.m., with Rev. Quinn officiating. Mr. Kaluza was born in Czechoslovakia. He had made his home in the Fairchild community since 1943. He passed away at the Polly Ryon Hospital following a short illness. Survivors are three sons, Arnold F. of Timpson, Edwin and Eldon of Richmond; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Ann Sembera of Rosenberg; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Joe Kaluza of LaMarque and Pete Kaluza of Rosenberg; and one sister, Mrs. Bessie Wytovak of Galveston. Pallbearers were Joe Kaluza Jr., Jerry Kaluza, Tom Mansfield, Robert Nawara, Roy Nawara, and Nelson Nawara. Interment was in the Needville Public Cemetery.
