Rosenberg Herald, October 18, 1946: Funeral services for Joe Charles Blinka were held from the St. Paul's Presbyterian Church at Needville at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 15, with Rev. J. R. Vilt officiating. Interment was in the Needville Public Cemetery, with Rosenberg Funeral Home directing. Mr. Blinka was born in Fayette County on May 27, 1900. He lived in Fayette County for some time and went to school there. After he had finished school, he was engaged in farming with his father. After the death of his father, he moved with his mother to Needville where he continued farming until the time of his death on Saturday, October 13, 1946.
