Bio

Rosenberg Herald, September 17, 1943: Funeral services were held for Mrs. Rose Blinka September 1, 1943 at 10 a.m. at the John Hus Presbyterian Church of Rosenberg, with interment in the Ellinger, Texas, Cemetery (Ross Prairie). Rev. J.R. Vilt of Needville officiated. Mrs. Blinka was born on November 23, 1870 in Fayetteville, Texas. She married Mr. Martin Blinka and they were engaged in farming. Their union was blessed with 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls. Both girls preceded the mother in death as did also her husband 32 years ago. They came to Ft. Bend County in 1931 where she died August 30th at 1 p.m. of heart failure. She reached the age of 72 years, 9 months, and 7 days. She leaves to mourn her departure two sons, John and Joe Blinka; 8 grandchildren; and other relatives. She was a fine christian woman and a faithful member of the St. Paul's Presbyterian Church at Needville. The Triska Funeral Home of Rosenberg was in charge of funeral arrangements.
