Herald Coaster, August 27, 1964: Funeral services for Mrs. Frank A. Vojtek, 63, of Needville, were held at 4:30 p.m. Monday at the Presbyterian Church in Neeville. Rev. John P. Dany officiated. Mrs. Vojtek passed away suddenly near her home Saturday evening. She was a resident of the Needville area for many years. Among the survivors are her husband, Frank A. Vojtek of Needville; a son, Frank Joe Vojtek of Rosenberg; three daughters, Mrs. Joe A. Klinkovsky of Damon, Mrs. John Lambeth of Dayton, and Mrs. Robert P. Kuban Jr. of Needville; her father, Klem Kubica of Taylor; a brother, Victor Kubica of Lubbock; three sisters, Miss Bena Kubica of Callahan, Mrs. Willie Gebhardt of Victoria, and Mrs. J.L. Hunter of Houston; and 13 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Darwin Prilucik, Albert Prilucik, Edwin Sloan, Mr. Uherek, Edward Kuban, and Frank Urbanek. Honorary pallbearers were Jerry Flint, Albert Franek, George Kuclcak, Ludwig Uherek, Joe Pasek, Frank Stransky. Burial was in the Needville Public Cemetery. Funeral services were under the direction of Garmany and Company Funeral Directors. ********************************************************************************************* Herald Coaster, August 30, 1964: Frank A. Vojtek, 67, of Needville, has been charged with murder in connection with the death of his wife Saturday night. Mrs. Vojtek died of a broken neck, an autopsy revealed, according to Sheriff R.L. Gaston. Her body was found in a ditch at the Vojtek home on Highway 36 south of Needville. A passing motorist who discovered the body notified the Sheriff's Department. Sheriff Gaston said Vojtek told him that Mrs. Vojtek had taken the keys from the car in an effort to make him stay home and that he had pushed her into the ditch and walked to the tavern near their home. Vojtek has been released from the county jail on a $1,500 bond.
