Bio

Herald Coaster, April 10, 1984: Funeral services for Claude Lester McDougle, 87, of Needville, will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at United Methodist Church here, Rev. Hal Embree officiating. Burial will follow in Needville Public Cemetery. McDougle died early Tuesday in a Needville nursing home. He was born in Kohrville, Harris County, on Aug. 22, 1896 and was an oilfield driller. He was a member of United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Sophia, of Needville; two sisters, Alva Doley and Ray Roper, both of Conroe; two brothers, Elbert of Tomball and Weldon of Texarkana; two step-sons, Alton Raesner of Needville and Claude Raesner of Guy; six step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild. Friends may call at Garmany & Cardern Funeral Home in Needville after 5 p.m. Tuesday.
