Co.E. 7th. Kentucky Cav. Son of Robert Costin Beauchamp and Sarah Ann (Stowers) Beauchamp. Married Anna M. (Crockett) Beauchamp. His schooling was received in Hancock Co, Ky and at St. Mary's College, Marion Co. He began for himself on the home place and came to his present farm in 1856. He owned about 1,000 acres, with about 800 acres in cultivation. He pays some attention to stock raising. David T. Beauchamp was a soldier in the late war. He enlisted in Company E of the Seventh Kentucky Cavalry, Confederate States Army, in June 1864, and remained out one year. Among the battles he participated were Tupelo, Harrisburg, Guntown Hill. and Bull's Gap. At the latter battle he was wounded and confined at Emory Hospital, Virginia, for about six months.
