Bio

Lula Lugene Berryhill Dobrava,85 of Midwest City,went to be with her Lord on Tuesday,March 23,2004.She was born December 12,1918 in Palestine,TX to Josh Robert and Anna Berryhill. When she was 5 years old her family moved to Maysville,OK.She worked at Douglas Aircraft in Oklahoma City during WWII helping in the war effort.In 1945 she went to work at Bell Telephone Co. and retired in 1973. Lugene was a member of First Baptist Church of Midwest City and a member of the JoyBelles Sunday School Class.She was an active member of the Eastwood Wildflower Garden Club and O.T.O.'s Lugene was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph C. Dobrava,her father,mother,brother Robert Berryhill,and sisters Eula Mae DeShazo,Edith Price,her twin sister Lorene Bailey,and Helen Lanier.She leaves to mourn her passing five sisters Ola Geese,Faye Day,Betty Kingsbury,Laveda Kelly,and Jo Gottman along with many loving nieces,nephews,and friends. Lugene was loved by all who knew her.She had no children of her own,but loved and nurtured her many nieces and nephews.The family wishes to thank Southern Hospice for their loving support and encouragement during Lugene's illness.Memorial donations can be made to Southern Hospice in memory of Lugene Dobrava. The family will greet friends from 7 to 9 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday,3/25/2004 at the Barnes & Johnson F.H.
