Bio
Paulo Benavides, 82, passed away peacefully, Tuesday morning, March 13, 2012, at Meadowbrook Assisted Living Center in Ontario, Ore. Paulo was born Jan. 25, 1930, to Ruperto and Domingo (de Luna) Benavides in Fashing, Texas. On Jan. 10, 1965, he was united in marriage to Fern Lois Wright. Paul worked for Ontario Produce for over 35 years. He retired in 1995. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting, taking walks, and tending his garden. Paul's greatest love apart from his wife, Fern, was his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom have cherished memories of him as their strong, quiet, fun, amazing grandpa. Paulo was a fine example of what the Patriarch of a family should be, and we love him for always being there for each and everyone one of us. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Jose, Pascal, Clemente; his sister, Anastacia Benavides Davila; his stepdaughter, Charlene Lambert and his stepsons, Dennis Davis and Thomas Davis. He is survived by his wife, Fern; his stepdaughters, Dolores Patterson and Cindy Davis; his grandchildren; their children and many other relatives and friends. Viewing for Paulo will take place from 10 a.m. to noon today, March 15, 2012 at Lienkaemper Chapel 78 NW First Avenue. Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery 1155 South Park Boulevard Friday, March 16, 2012, at 2 p.m. Family and friends are welcome.
