Bio

Jost Tschude was born in Canton Glarus, Switzerland, August 15, 1838 and died at Palmer, Nebraska, January 16, 1923, aged 84 years, 5 months and 1 day. On June 4, 1874 he was married to Anna Blumer. To this union were born three children, John, Henry and Mrs. E. G. Weller, all of Palmer. Mr. Tschude emigrated from Switzerland to the United States in 1871, loating first in Wisconsin. In 1882 he moved to Cumming county, Nebraska, where he lived until 1883 [? not clear, might be 1888]when he moved to Merick county, where he has since resided. The funeral was held from the Evangelical church at Archer Tuesday afternoon, Rev. C. W. Boelter officiating and interment was made in the Evangelical cemetery.
